It’s the weekend, it’s the weekend! Time to let your hair down and relax, have a glass of wine, eat some delicious foods … OK, so I’m having a little day dream. Who gets time to relax!

Sunday afternoons is when we usually find the time to sit down, have a glass of wine ( or whatever is on offer … ), some pre dinner snacks and a chat about what will be happening for the next week. On a side note, if I’m being honest, I may have noticed while we were on holidays in Fiji that while we were not having as many drinkies, cheese & crackers on the days that end in “y” that I wasn’t as bloated and possibly even came back a little lighter!

So, maybe I should look at some healthier options for our snacks … let me introduce “Fine Fettle Flats”.

I was lucky enough to be sent some of these tasty little treats to try a little while ago.
Fine Fettle Flats are a healthy snack option made with only fresh, real ingredients .. their tagline “real veg & fruity goodness squished and dried ( not fried ) into snacks”.

We, of course, went all out to try them and had all the trimmings .. cheese, flats, dips .. to make sure of course that they taste just as nice with all the essentials.

The verdict … I quite liked them, because they have flavour they gave a little extra than just plain crackers. The flavour wasn’t so overpowering that it took away from the cheese either. The kids weren’t entirely convinced … some flavours they liked others not so much. I thought they were a great option for something different on a cheese platter and will definitely buy them again.
You can buy the flats in a few different types of packs. We were sent larger packs that used for the cheese platters. I haven’t found the larger packs at Woollies but there are lots of snack pack options. Perfect size for a healthy handbag snack ( it won’t get squished in your handbag ) or an on the go snack for the kids after school or training.
